This is so beautiful and so inspiring. You have done a fabulous job on this one. Your time and efforts will be more appreciated by Waylon's parents than by the little guy. He will just have fun carrying around this blankie. Thanks for sharing this fantastic quilt.

Haven't visited this site for awhile; just seems one gets so busy; need to take more time to just enjoy other people's work too. I just finished a baby quilt for new Great Grandson Waylon; it is forest themed and when I was looking for an owl I ran across a children's story written in 1971; titled "The Owl and the Woodpecker" I Loved the story and so incorporated the main characters into the quilt. It was a fun quilt to make!!! [ATTACH=CONFIG]593130[/ATTACH] Hand applique and mostly hand quilted stitched a couple rows by machine because of time limit.
So adorable! You did a beautiful job!
Did you design this yourself? If a pattern is avail, I would love to know the name of the pattern!
