    This is so pretty! My granddaughter & I used that pattern to make one for her during a visit last summer, and it was so much fun! Yours turned out great, and I love your backing!

    Don't know that I figured out the secret, except to say that the plastic circle template I bought was a waste of money. My rotary cutters wouldn't fit in the slots. I wound up cutting a template from cardstock and cut very, very carefully. :)
    I had the VERY same experience--bummer! But since then I have found a small rotary cutter whose blade extends far enough to fit down in the slots. A friend ordered it for me, but I will be glad to look up the address if you like.
