That is a beautiful quilt! Do make a label for it on which you specify that is HER quilt. A friend lost all his grandmother's quilts because they were given to both. If his name only had been on the quilts, there would have been no problem. I did the same for my son's wedding, and sure enough, in the divorce, the quilt was all he got. She even stole my grandchildren from us and all the other family heirlooms we had given them.

I am sure your daughter will treasure it, every time she uses it it will be like grandma is giving her a big hug. Wonderful.

The back label does have her name and says "From Grandmas Closet".

That is a wonderful quilt. Your daughter is on lucky girl to get that quilt. How did you do the back? Did you quilt the back with the white flower by it's self. I am just asking I have never see quilting done like that.

We should all be so fortunate to have a family member that would take our
    stuff and create heirlooms.
Your dd's quilt is to cry for

I'm not sure I understand your question. Here is a picture of the front before I added the pink sash.

After I sandwiched the top/batt/backing I free motion quilted the feather circles on the Dresden plates first. Second I free motion quilted the sash. After marking the cross hatch around the whole Dresdens in a 2" diagonal grid with a disappearing pen, I used my walking foot to quilt this part. Same in the border with an 1.5" grid and the corners in a 1" diagonal grid. Lastly I did the center candle wicked flower in another diagonal grid, skipping over the flowers and leaves.

I had appliquéd the extra Dresden on the back before I sandwiched it. I totally ignored it while quilting the front. And I hand appliquéd the label in the center of the back Dresden after the front was quilted and I had finished binding it.

Does this make any sense and answer your question?
