Terri-I love it. I have always wanted to do an Irish Chain. I love the simplicity of the pattern and the great design it makes. Your fabric colors are great. They are crazy if they don't absolutely LOVE it!!! And lap quilts too? They must be VERY good friends!!

The wedding quilt is beautiful and it is a good pattern and color choice. They will love it.

Aren't coincidences funny? My son is getting married Aug 8 also, his favorite color is blue and hers is orange.

    Beautiful!

I did the same thing for my brother except green & cream and I put the embroidery in the middle square. It is a popular wedding gift!

Thanks all! It really wasn't that hard to make.

Ruth....I started it Friday night and finished it last night. Well, the top that is. I still need to bat and back it. Not sure on the quilting part yet. I'm still contemplating as to whether I should put another border on it to make it just a bit bigger. These 2 have a full size bed (great size for making the grandbabies :)lol )

I called my friend and asked her and she said yes, full size bed and the colors are going to match perfectly. Their bedroom colors are tan and brown. Not really something I'd pick, but I did good, right? And the wedding is still on, so I don't have to UNembroider it. lol

The boy is the son of my friend who I met in Hawaii. Her husband was the CO of the submarine we were attached to and she and I just hit it off. This as back in 96. We have stayed really close ever since. They came out for Lauren's wedding and her husband (now a 2 star Admiral and I lovingly call him my other husband lol) came out and was the guest speaker for Bill's commissioning in Dec. They are wonderful people and my girls and their 2 boys and 1 girl actually refer to each other as brothers and sisters. Courtney calls Cecil (the dad) uncle and Bonny (the mom) Auntie. They are just great people and I'd pretty much do anything for them and the feeling is vice versa. :)

DA Mayer....is't that funny, same date and same favorite colors?

Kinkajou...I'll come to your wedding! Just make sure the invite includes plane tickets if I'm still here in Guam! lol Yes, I'll even make you a quilt if you tell me the colors you like :)

Thanks Connie. Yes, it's pretty much done in time, but with really getting it finished and then in the mail, it won't make it to them in time. They have a card and in it a note saying gift is on it's way at a later date. Plus, since they'll probably get mine last, they can ohh and ahh over it without the other gifts getting in the way. lol ;)

But thanks all....it was fun to make and I think I will probably make a few more with this pattern. :)

    Thanks Barb!
It goes together really easy. The worst part was cutting, but I don't like cutting anyway. lol
