This is really a beautiful quilt. If the gal doesn't like it, she should have her head examined. The colors are exquisite and I think it is a wonderful gift, and would be pleased as could be were it given to me. You did a great job!! May the quilt fairies help you in your quilting~~~~;)

Love this! I have a couple of yards of your border fabric and don't want to cut it up since I like it so much....

That is beautiful - I love the fabrics you chose. They are one lucky couple!

Amazingly beautiful!!! I am certain she will love it - I hope you tell her how you
chose the colors and what they symbolize....it will mean even more that you put so much into this! Thanks for sharing!

Your quilt is stunning. Your BFF is gonna love it. As for the colors, not every quilt goes with the room nor does every one go on a bed. The quilt my dad made me is a Christmas quilt and I use it all year long. The blue and white log cabin my mom made me to match my bedroom is actully in my family room on the couch (came down when I was sick and never made it back to bedroom).

This is the largest quilt I have ever made. I used Lovers Knot by Eleanor Burns, and cut it and pieced it in 20 days. Now to get it quilted.

The colors aren't as nice in the pic, it was getting ready to rain, and on the clothes line was the only place big enough to spread it out. The second pic is so you can see the colors a little better.
There really isn't a dirt spot on the light material, it is from the Stonehenge collection and really looks like sand.
