    Default Wedding Quilt for Niece

I've been collecting purple batiks for my niece for several years, planning on using them for her wedding quilt. Purple has always been her favorite color. Imagine my surprise when she chose browns and ivories for her bedroom colors (even her wedding colors were brown and orange...what happened to our purple girl?). Anyway, I love browns and went to my stash and was able to pull almost everything I needed to make this quilt. It has about 25 different browns fabrics plus a few that I used both sides to get lighter tones. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough of my cream fabric to finish the quilt the way I originally planned so I added the wide brown strips. It's an 88"X96" queen sized quilt. Now I just have to figure out how to quilt it. I think it will lend itself well to a custom design and I may do it myself on my friend's longarm. I'm calling it "Everlasting, Ever-changing Bonds of Love".

Beautiful quilt. I'm a big fan of brown too.

I like the name, the quilt and the wide borders.
