    Hello,

I love your quilt, it is beautiful. I went to Valori Wells site and looked at her version and I think yours is prettier. Yours is richer looking. Anyway I ordered the pattern from Piecefulexpressions.com. (cheaper shipping)

I plan to make this quilt for my husband for our 35th wedding aniversary in October 2011. It will take me that long to make it since I will have to make it on the sneak. I want to make it just like yours.

I have never made him a quilt before but when I saw yours I knew this was for him. We danced to Chicago's Color My World for our first dance at our reception. He has truly colored my world all of these years.

Thank you soooo much for posting your quilt, you have inspired me and I can't wait to start collecting the fabrics and working on his quilt.

    Have a great weekend

    Denise

Your quilt is stunning and this shows that a wedding quilt doesn't have to be a double wedding ring design!

Denise B: Wow! You really flatter me. Thank you for your nice comments. I am excited that you are inspired to make this quilt! The most exciting part of it for me was pulling out bundles and bundles of fabric and "auditioning" them for each color wheel. I did have to purchase fabric for the sky and some for the trees. The really fun blocks to do were the salmon at the bottom. Also, I added a border strip, not called for in the pattern. Now you know, if you make this quilt, you will have to name it "Color My World II"!! Can't wait to see your masterpiece, and feel free to PM with questions along the way, if need be. Good Luck.
