It was either Tartan or Feline Fanatic that mentioned hair spray in one of the posts (I am 99% sure it was Tartan!) so a huge thank you to her because it works wonders! I pressed it again because I wanted to make sure it was super flat and not going to move. And since it is a practice one, I wasn't really too concerned about the chalk if it didn't come off. For me, I have to do to learn!

It is wonderful that you are doing all these “practice” pieces. This one looks great.

I did not know about the hairspray trick to hold the chalk on. That is always a problem with it bouncing off when using a longarm. I will be trying that and be able to use the chalk more often than I do......but I would NEVER have pressed my piece while it still had the chalk on it!!! Oh my!! Thank you for posting this. Now I know I can do this also if I need to! I am curious though if your chalk (pounce) is the iron off kind or is it the kind that you just brush off?

It is not the iron off kind (I have that in white - it's called ultimate pounce). The hairspray is a great "invention" because it does come off really quickly - I gave one a quick shake to get off the excess chalk, and my design was pretty much gone!

You did such a nice job.
We're also having horrible heat and humidity. Yuck, I can't wait for Fall.
