Default Welcome Home

I worked on this wall hanging for my front door this weekend, and finished off the binding... it doesn't show in the picture but it is the same fabric as the red lettering. I posted in the virtual quilt along as I went. The pattern is Welcome Home by Shauna Case. It is approx. 12 x 26 " .. I fused the pieces down then did the double blanket stitch around most of the pieces with rayon thread, but also some satin stitching right through the whole sandwich, so that it was quilted as I attached the pieces.... I did add a few machine quilted lines...and a couple hand quilted snowflakes to finish it off.

The background fabric with the snowflakes is so festive. It really shows off your cute penguin. I like it "snow" much.

Very cute. Reminds us that the cold weather and snow is right around the corner.
