I know there are alot of you out there that don't like Wal Mart Fabrics but I made this quilt back in 1999 for my son who was 10 yrs old at that time. This boy has slept with this quilt every night for 12 yrs & this is what it looks like! I have since made him a new one & he's breaking it in quite nicely! He's the only one who appreciates & loves my quilts.

Here's the newest one I made to replace this one

That one is certainly well loved. So what pattern did you make him this time?

Reminds me of the quilt my grandmother made for me 62 years ago. I used it for over 14 years. Amazing how these hold up. This one looks well loved.

I hope you're not throwing it away. Maybe cut a section out and frame it :) I love it. Its obvious your Son did as well. Way to go Mom!

I call it the "wonky stars" it's the stars that have one of the 'legs' longer than the other one. I used wal mart fabric on that one too! I used the stary night fabric they use to have & a really bright yellow...

It is hard to see a beautiful quilt in tatters. But it is wonderful to know that it was so loved.

What a nice story. Glad to see a quilt that is used and loved. I hope the quilts I have made for family and friends are used and loved. Otherwise, I will feel like I have wasted my time.
