The block is called Irish Plaid, it's nice, but it's a real pain in the butt!

lol, it was pretty funny at one point, because the ladies doing the set up for the judges are there each year, and they keep going on about how they love having new participants in the show. My mother has been going to this show for several years, she does spectacular work -non quilting- and each year those same ladies are always super excited to see what my mother has brought to enter this year. So this year, she told them she brought her daughter. We brought our stuff in, registered and left till later that afternoon. Aparantly, there were SOOOO many people who came up to the coordinators asking who this new melanie kid was, they were soooo impressed with my stuff... and the two ladies are telling me this, and my face was SO flushed, lol! I hate being the center of attention, I'm totally not used to it. On top of everything, my mother and I have the same last name, and I think our names were on the winners list about 15 times. It was hard to miss... I was embarrassed. Happy, but I just wanted to hide. If you didn't know any better, you'd think the whole thing was rigged.
