Anyone from Utah know if that store is still in business? Might be worth a road trip.

I wish I could go there! The "danger" would be worth the adventure! What kind of a death would that be? Buried under fabric! Okay by me! Almost as good as falling into a beer or wine vat! Thanks for the diversion from seriousness.

There's a quilt store here like that too. No AC in Germany so I have to go back when it's a little cooler

Wow makes our Phoenix SAS stores look chic (but their not). Since I am most definetly not a size 10 I don't think I'd bother. It looks dirty and disorganized which I could handle if the prices we're dirt cheap. No pun intended.

I remember back in the 1960's, Levines was the only fabric place in the area. Being just out of college, I did not anticipate the owner taking me to the basement for reasons other than to find the fabric I was asking about.

The amazing thing is that no matter what you want to find in the store, they know EXACTLY where it is!!! Unbelievable place. I go there when I need something specific and I always find it too!!!

Amazing! I couldn't even imagine looking through that store for anything. I love when a store has lots of fabrics, but I'm afraid I'd take one quick look at that, and head for the door!!!

I agree MaryJo's has a lot of fabric, but at least it is nicely organized and they have IDs hanging from the ceiling for every kind of fabric, or at least they used to. I love Mary Jo's, but I don't think I would be comfortable in Obies.
