I live about 5 minutes from Obie's! I've heard that the house nextdoor and the barn in the back are just as full! And, you didn't take any pictures of the porta potty in front...right next to the street! You can sometimes find just what you need in there though! In the store...not the porta potty!

After shopping at Obie's we went to lunch at the Shady Maple Smorgasbord, it's only five minutes down the road from Obie's, awesome!!!!!! If you go to Obie's you have to eat there!! And Good's is in the same shopping center.

OMG!! We had a place here in New England area called Levines Fabrics and it was in an old warehouse and they had fabric stacked all over the place. One room had piles of fabric from the floor on up and if you wanted to go in there you had to remove your shoes first. The closed some time ago , but I still miss that place.

That's actually kind of scary to me. BUT The Door Mouse in Bettsville OH is pretty chalked full too. They have a website to view.

I have been to Obie's several times. The lady at the cutting board seems to know where everything is. Just ask her and she goes right to it. Amazing.........What I really laugh at, is she has a section of old fashioned "penny candy" (no longer a penny of course). Some of it is unwrapped and open to the air and all that means. I just wonder who buys any of it. The store is wonderful for finding just the right fabric. I have always found what I was looking for. I wouldn't miss the "Obie Experience'

I've been there once and I live in Lancaster County. Did you get that overwhelmed feeling? My first thought when I walked into the store was that I would be burried under a pile of falling fabric. The other amazing thing is that the sales staff knows exactly where everything is located. Once was enough for me.
