    A quilt like that inspires me to live to be 100 . . . because maybe, just maybe . . .if I have another 40 years or so and practice very, very diligently . . .I just might be able to create something as beautiful.

    Did I say that's a simply gorgeous quilt???

    you and Loretta are very kind, and waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to hard on yourselves. the single most important step in putting together any block for any quilt is this: BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT.

    were you born knowing how to walk? to talk? to drive a car? noooooooooooooo you were not. you had to make up your mind that you could learn, then set about the business of doing just that.

    you may not get it exactly right the first few times, but that's ok. practice on scraps ... or on those fabrics you look at now and just know you must have been drunk, stoned, or otherwise temporarily insane when you bought them.

    if you say you can't, you won't. when you say you will ... you will.

    I just love the fabric print and the color that is on my side. A very interesting pattern and quite different. Very nice combo :D

    Oooohhhhh Patrice, that is really stunning! I love your use of the fabric..that block is very pretty too! I wouldn't have minded chucking it in my dryer...thats my favorite way to wear quilts...freshly warmed!!
