Default What can you make a teenage girl.........

Our 15 yr. old granddaughter has several quilts her Nana (me) made her. So when I saw this, and asked her Mom to weigh in, she thought it was a good idea too. Here is the make-up tote that I made using Sallie Tomatoes "Bette bag" KIT with my own material. I bought black canvas for the outside (which looks navy in the photo), and a black with silver metallic flowers for the lining. I changed out the zipper that came with the kit (a taupe) and used black from the Sallie Tomato zippers on a roll that I had purchased previously, and a regular grey zipper for the mesh pocket to match the lining. Ordinarily I hate making any type of purse or tote, but the directions were clear and the bonus video tutorial was a plus.

Wonderful. May I make one suggestion? Spray the outside and inside fabric with Scotchguard or equivalent. .

What a great bag! Perfect for a young lady. I made my daughter and DIL both the travel bags from ByAnnie (Travel Essentials 2.0) that open and hang. Girls love bags!

I vote along with eveyone else in that she will love it, and spraying with Scotchguard was a genius idea!
