ok now that the quilt top is almost finished and it is a busy quilt I must say what border color should I use to bring it out or should it be a border to tone the quilt down any suggestions? thank you

My first thought was pink but green would also work; you could even do one of both. Your quilt is great so your border needs to be something that gives the eyes a place to rest and appreciate the work you've done.

It's very pretty! I think I would go with a solid colar border as the top is really busy.

you could do an inner border of white and then a color border.

I would choose a solid dark pink for the first border. If you are doing multiple borders, my second would be one of the focus fabrics, and then bind in the dark pink.

I was leaning towards the pink as well. Likely one that almost reads as a solid. Maybe the darker pink of the butterfly/hummingbird flower.

I agree with a pink border with a muted pattern (floral), more emphasis on vibrant pink. Navy blue binding? Definite contrast but may go well with the busy design.

I'm going to be an odd ball out here but I think I would do a solid black thin border and then a purple. Then I would bind it with leftover pieces from the center.

How about a narrow solid(sh) inner 'complimentary' boarder ~ black, white, pink or green. Then if you have leftovers fabric of the top, how about piano keys as your outer boarder.

The pictures of the sections of the quilt are good showing the close up of the fabrics. But, would it be possible that we could see a picture of the whole quilt. Please

I'd use a narrow black border to contain all that color, then any of the smaller prints for the wider border. If black seems too much to you, then a really dark fuchsia or purple. If you like the size, you can just bind it in the fuchsia or purple.
