What did I do in June?
Raggiemom's post about June accomplishments made me look back to see what I'd been up to. Not very much. Well, at least not in quilting but it has been a busy month in other ways. My sister and BIL were here prepping and selling their house before moving permanently to Florida so I spent a lot of time helping them. But quilting was totally on the back burner.
I finished a little quilt. I've shown the flimsy before but I quilted it and it was my first try at doing circles. I made a lined drawstring tote. That was a first for me and I was totally convinced that there wouldn't be an opening but I doggedly followed the instructions and it worked!! Yay!! I participated in my first bee block exchange. The photos show the ones I made - a Greek Cross - and the ones I got in return. My colors were black, white, and lime. I started a Craftsy class on traditional blocks and made the first Arrowhead Block. And as a last gasp at June, I saw these cute little birds on Flickr and just had to make a few. I've also got a start on my design board; a quilt for a friend. The square photo in there is her dog from a Christmas card she sent me several years ago and I always just thought it was a wonderful picture. Her dog is getting old now and is ailing so I hope she will really like this effort to honor her love for her pet.
I'm never sure in which order these photos will appear but you should be able to figure it out.

Not bad at all for someone who did not do much quilting in june! (she says... loll) The only thing I did was starting to sew the binding on my WIP and I have not even finished it yet. I really like your Greek Cross blocks.
