Well I tried everything possible to get the marks out but nothing worked so finally I just fussy cut some little stockings and gifts and hung the stockings and put the gifts under the tree and up the side. The scorch marks are down under.....down under all the cute little gifts and stockings. It looks real busy but then again it's Christmas.

So...what did you get in your stocking or gift? Just scorch marks....hahahaha
    Looks great…wonderfully creative solution.

I'd say you came up with a great solution. Love your packages. As they say "Necessity is the mother of invention."

Fill a bowl/basin with tepid water, then add several denture tablets. Put the affected area of your project in the water with the denture tabs. Let is sit over nite. In the morning chances are your scorched area will be gone. I used this quite a few times in heirloom sewing and it really does work!
Your solution was perfect, very cute and clever!!
Good suggestion, thank you, I will keep it in mind. I have also had good luck with hydrogen peroxide. Just spritz it on the scorch marks and let it dry. Some people think that it will bleach or discolor the fabric but they are totally mistaken. But you can always test if you want to be extra safe.

You rock girl. You would never know tht you scorched it if you didn't tell. I like your tree. I should maybe make one similar. Never thought of buttons.
