    Kind of what I was thinking too. I love the red and the way it pops, but it doesn't quite make the print blocks have the floating affect that happens when gray is used. I think you are right, the white needs to be changed to a color that would cast a red shadow.

    I have been wanting to make this quilt also, I think I will try charm packs as I have a lot of them... your quilt is beautiful. love the red

    Thank you, charm packs work well as all you'll need to do is cut them in half.
