    Definitely put the "glint" (tiny white spot) in the eye. I do this when carving and painting. Wow you have captured your corgis!

    Awesome job! But I agree that a bit of white will give the eyes and noses their 'wet' look and really make them look lifelike. I can't wait to see the finished product!

    I do think the detail work will be a BIG difference. The coloring of both the dogs are close. I would add a slightly darker detail to the dogs back, perhaps mimicking a fold in the skin of the back, or a change in direction of the nap of the coat. Perhaps some stitching if you embroider, some chain stitching or french knots together in varying colors.

    They look really great. Just add a litle detail at a time, stand back and evaluate, continue or not. Nice job.
