I'm in the process of re-creating my studio space and would like to see what others are doing.

Currently, I'm in a small room (that won't change) and have an L shaped pressed - wood desk with both sewing machine and serger in it.
I don't much care for it and am considering getting a Sew Perfect table http://sewperfecttable.com/sewing-table-original.shtml or maybe something custom made from the amish folk around here.

Anyway - would anyone be willing to show a photo of what they have and describe why they like or don't like?

Trugger--The "show me your quilt room" or "here is my quilt room" topic comes up fairly often. I did a search and came up with some of them for you. This is not meant to be a total list, just a few examples of quilt rooms/studios that some board members have posted. Hope it helps you.

Wow, that was a great list of previous threads.
    Thank you for that.

I looked at each one and didn't see one Sew Perfect Table....
    I wonder if that's a bad sign?

These two photos are of what I have now that I want to get rid of.

In the next post, I'll add photos of the sewing machine cabinet I just scored from criagslist. I think I'm going to retro-fit this for the serger and do something else for the sewing machine.

Ok, Here's the beginning of my new studio!
This will need to be refinished and customized to hold a machine permanently instead of the fold-down way it was originally made.

Probably, this will hold the serger, and I'll get the Sew Perfect Table for the sewing machine. I considered doing something else... but I really like how the Sew Perfect Table is adjustable for height and there's a customized insert for my specific machine to create a flat surface.

    Any thoughts?

The reason everyone's quilt room is so different is because everyone designs theirs for what works best for them--in their space, in their budget, and for their needs.

I have never seen the Sew Perfect table before. If it is what will work best for you, in your space, for your needs, then by all means, get one.

I like the old cabinet that you are re-doing for your serger. Both functional and beautiful.
