Oh my gosh, that's perfect. I had 2 sets of cases like this the first year I was teaching. The superintendent threw them out since he thought the glass could be dangerous with so many students opening and closing the doors. I wish I had thought to say, "I'll take them off your hands". Enjoy this wonderful find!

That is the neatest fabric organizer I have seen to date! Keep him in pies and who knows what other wonderful finds he will make!

He found it in a secondhand/used furniture shop...In fact the building used to be the Singer Sewing Center. It still has the big S-I-N-G-E-R letters over the front window!

To those that asked...cherry pie is his favorite and I have baked him one! Trust me when I say he knows how happy he's made me.

Someone asked who makes these cabinets, and here's what I found out. The company that manufactured them is Globe-Wernicke. The same company that made the wooden ones for lawyers. The metal ones like I have here in the photo were made post-war through 1963 when the company closed. There are some that were made for the military that are a lovely army green. I have seen some of the beautiful wood ones at our local auction, but they are getting pricey!
