    I love the quilt...but I'd not rule out other colors for the border. At least not "baby pink or blue".

    yes, it will make a great baby quilt! just put borders for the appropriate gender.

    That is adorable! It is big enough for children not just babies and it would be a cheery addition to the nursery!
    I do not know how to do either of these things but I bet you could do prairie points to trim out the boy quilt and scallops and ruffles to feminize the quilt for a girl.
