I went to a class today taught by the wonderful Debra Quinn, designer of the Patrick James Collection. We made her pattern "The Basic Purse". I was able to finish my purse during the class.

There was a lot of prework for this class, including paper-piecing the front pocket and cross-hatching all of the main purse pieces. This is definitely not a quick-and-easy project, but well worth it. Debra uses a lot of unique techniques in her purses and bags. If you want to check them out (no affiliation, just a happy customer here), it's www.patrickjamescollection.com.

Thanks for the link. Love the purse, so many possibilities! Can see why you have to do so much pre-class clinic.
