Have been looking for a quick easy pattern to make for our Volunteer Fire Dept auction next month. Have done a couple lap quilts the last 2 years and kept them.....made a nice donation instead :D But this year want to make one and let it go. Quilt police need something to talk about  Anyway, this said easy and I thought simple sqares and half triangles, looks good to me...........ugh. It isn't all that easy and not quick at all. Have to have this done by the middle of next month. Four squares make one block and I need nine blocks. Had wanted to make it larger, not now! This represents 2 days of cutting and sewing, hope I can make it in time :D Also need to come up with a name for it. Last 2 were "Dawn's Fire and Ice" - Blue and white with some red prairie points inserted. Then did "Hearts 'O Fire" - Red, pink and white with a couple of red wonky hearts appliquaed.

Beautiful quilt and for a good cause.

Eating & sleeping is overrated. You can get it done no problem. LOL.

    Good luck getting it done.

It looks fabulous! I like "Rescue in Red" too.
You know, you DON'T have to use the same blocks to finish it up - you could switch to another pattern of blocks to go around these ones in the center. Maybe put a border around the ones you have done, then do a round of simpler blocks, then another couple borders.
