Ok, I want HONEST opinions here.
You won't hurt my feelings. Hubby is of NO help!!
He likes everything I make, with or without mistakes.
So, I've got 6 squares together,,I noticed that one side isn't just right, so will rip, rip, rip and fix it...
But, I've seen attic windows that have like a border around the "window" part of each square.
    What do you think?

    Thanks Kyia.

I think what I'm asking is...
Should I put that border between the blocks too or leave it as is?
Just not too sure about it.

Do you have a couple of blocks not in rows yet, where you could lay the fabric out like it would be another border so we could see what you have in mind?
    does that make sense?

    Hopefully this will come out.

Ok, see the light colored fabric surrounding the blocks?
I guess you could call it sashing?
    That's what I'm talking about.

I have done it both ways. Try laying a dark color inbetween the attic window- does it give it more of a pop? I found the closer together the attic frame pieces are the less the window pops. Being you have more pastels taht might be the case here. Are you going for a soft look or a bolder look?

I just noticed-do you have different directions for the bonnets?

I'm not sure if I am looking for the soft or bolder look. Guess I want something nice and different. Know what I mean?
    I know...not much help, am I? :)

So, if I put the sashing on there, would you say a darker color, darker pink or some other color? Plain color or something with a print?
I've never done one of these attic windows before, so am looking for all the help I can get.
Don't worry about hurting my feelings if you see something that looks bad. Tell me....I can take criticism.

I'm looking to find a flowery fabric for the border of it. I'll put maybe a 2 inch border around the entire "unit", then border it with the flowery stuff.
If I did a 2 inch border, then that would take from the sashing, right?

Yes, I have 2 different directions for the bonnets.
It's only going to be 3 rows of 3. Hubby says it should be 4 rows of 3. Every other row, the bonnets will face the opposite direction.
Only ONE, which is in the middle of the top row will be embellished and I will embroider the little girl's name below that one.
This one is going to a 4 year old and then I am making another one for the 2 year old sister.
