    :D
I started with the lunch bag pattern to get the size and then made it up as I went to get the desired finished bag. It was fun to do. Usually if I see something I can make it or do my own version. The dolls, a friend of mine had made a similar one. The body is easy as there are no legs or arms. The sleeves are just a tube with arms inserted at the ends.

It's very hard for me to cut up a quilt, bc I think of all the work I put in a quilt. I find my self apologizing to the quilt I'm cutting up.[/quote]

If you look at it like you are "rescuing" a quilt from the dumpster rather than "cutting one up" you will be so thankful to the quiltmaker that her quilt was still salvageable! The quiltmaker will then be so pleased her quilt was turned into a loveable doll! Hope this makes you feel better about rescuing an old quilt! :-o

I only buy/cut up very raggy quilts that I have bought for that purpose. So maybe I'll think I am honoring the quilt maker from now on. Thanks for that thought.

I tried to sell a few, problem is everyone wants one, but they don't want to pay the price. I used them as gifts to people that really appreciate that kind of thing.
I would certainly appreciate that kind of thing!!! (wink, wink)
