    HELP ~ CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THE CENTER BLOCK ON THE BOTTOM ROW IN THE FIRST PICTURE (Red & Black Quilt) ~ THE TRIANGLE WITH A TWIST????

    I've never seen that block before. The whole quilt had a hard bleak look to me. But the blocks by themselves are interesting.

    i'm sure the quilt is much livelier and better looking in person.

    the block is "Tangled Stars". according to Barbar Brackman's encyclopedia, it's one of the patterns published by the Old Chelsea Station Needlecraft Service. she references her source as a booklet printed in 1974.

    Marty, I posted this on the other thread...........my daughter did this one but it isn't twisted......In my book, this one was called Nancy's Fancy. It is almost the same one that Roben gave the link to.......just different centers. Here is what my daughter's looked like.
