    Great quilt, wouldn't it be stunnig with a red binding that matches your center.

    I think it looks great. Myself I wouldn't extend the top or bottom but I do like your suggestions for the rest of the quilt.

    I've never done a log cabin, but I'd do the blue inner border and the red outer. IMHO

    That is a beautiful quilt. I am working on one now. What I do to make LC longer is add a small width border on the top and a wider border on the foot with what ever width on the sides to make it rectangle the the LC square is centered on the top of the bed. I do not add LC blocks on just the top and bottom, b/c the design looks off balance to me. JMHO.
