    I was just going to suggest pinwheels. I have found pinwheels to be easy and fun. I use the method taught on http://www.youtube.com. by the Missouri Quilt Company. Someone here on the board mentioned it. You'll love it and the blocks look more complicated to make then they really are and should impress your husband. :)

    I love railfence did last month four of them gifts for kids and they loved them, and it is so fast and easy to do.
