There looks to be a lot of denim blue colour in some of the blocks(on my screen anyway) My eye was drawn to that! I would find a plain/small print in that colour and sash each block with it. Then a thin border/or flange in blue, wider border in neutral and bind in blue!!!!! Depending what finished size you want of course!!!!! It needs to be a soft/faded sort of blue which will still keep the neutral tones but add some depth!!! Just my ideas!!! Your quilt/your decision!!! It'll look beatiful whatever you do!!

I would alternate those blocks with blocks that are solid or also solid. Maybe even red, white and blue blocks

Sashing! Maybe in a dark color that works well with the blocks.

It will be a beautiful, rich looking quilt even if you just put the blocks together, but I'd probably audition some browns for sashing. My sister specializes in neutrals and her quilts are gorgeous, they have a soft look.

Thanks for all the good ideas. I have an idea... but after my last quilt I have sort of lost my confidence to trust my ideas (The ugly baby boy blanket!)

I was thinking to add deep reds and blues in log cabin fashion around these. What bothered me was there was too much neutral here... So with the log cabin blocks only the centers will be neutral stars.

Another idea is to put the red/blue log cabin blocks around the outside like a border and do something else for the center panel.

Still thinking about it all, and still listening to your ideas. It's interesting that these blocks made others think of red and blue, too.

I see red sashing, or maybe a bright blue

Those are great! Somehow I keep picturing them in the border of this quilt I have set aside. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

I like your idea of a rich dark brown. I think it would make those blocks pop!

A sashing would beautifully enhance your lovely blocks!
