    I like your idea of using them for the center in red/blue log cabin blocks. I was also thinking opposing corners in 4 patch blocks with red or blue and the other (red or blue) as sashing.

    Get a bright fabric, (a colorful stripe maybe or use scraps in assorted colors) and make a sashing. It could turn out very pretty.
