What would you have done?

You can finish it up when you wish to now without any pressure of getting it done. It could be a good "learner" quilt for someone else too that might be overwhelmed at doing a "whole" quilt by hand. Her loss your gain.

Whoever made this quilt took great pains to make sure her stitching was very straight. See the tape she had placed on it as guidelines to quilt by? It has one stain on it in the middle of it. But, I think a little oxy clean will take that right out. First thing it's getting when it is finished is a bath!

WINNING....as Charlie would say...that is a beautiful log cabin quilt, and hand quilted! You did the absolute right thing. Now, have fun finishing it, and you may have spent $20, isn't that what you said she paid for it? YOU saved yourself $40 + because the fabric was all FREE....it is beautiful and I will send you MY check for $20 if you want YOUR money back..lol. Great deal. A beautiful quilt that would be a great gift for a husband or a son or anyone.
