I made quilts for my parents anniversary. Started near their 45th and finished by their 50th. My mom picked out the colors. They each have similar blocks, but they are not identical. It was a lot of fun to make and they've enjoyed them immensely. I did have to convince my mom it was okay to sleeP under them, they were taking them off the beds when they went to sleep!

I enjoyed reading these. So many joys shown in your avatars: retirements, quilts to be proud of (of course), kids, grandkids, nature, loved pets.... loved the stories.

Mine is my youngest and last American Miniature Horse foal born here (2009)--and the first colt after 5 fillies. He is Little Churchs Time for a Tucker. Tucker is one of five here. He is with Buddy--our 8 week rescue who almost died twice (story on this forum somewhere) but is 68 lbs now and still growing. :-D

I've tried putting a photo of me up there, and I don't like looking at me every time I reply  . My quilts just don't look good in such a tiny photo, but pets always work. ;)

Mine is my two french bulldogs - Shorty is the white/black spots - he is 5 1/2yrs old - The fawn colored one is Otis - he passed away when he was 9 months old following surgery for breathing problems. We miss him very much and I love looking at my dogs. Since then we have adopted two additional french bulldogs - they are Clyde and Dozer - now we have 3 french bulldogs.
