I like the points going down best.

I think this particular bargello has a bit too much contrast in it for the pheasants. If it was more monochromatic so it was more subtle (maybe all browns and tans arranged so it goes from light to dark), I think it could make a beautiful addition to the pheasants.

I like points going down. I don't know why but when the points are up, all that draws my attention is the bright blue fabric. strange it doesn't have the same effect with the pattern going down. Maybe its because it draws the eye back down from the sky in the panel?

Love the pheasants - reminds me of back home (North Dakota). I think the bargello would make it too busy also. The panel would be beautiful with some black and neutrals framing it.

I agree, what about maybe a bear paw block border and use that beautiful bargello for the back?

I have a picture on my cell phone I took of a quilt with this panel as the main focus in a quilt shop. Thought you'd like to see it! I wanted the picture to possibly use as a refrence for a panel I have in my stash :)
I think the pheasant panel is really pretty and the bargello is slightly distracting. Great colors to work with though!

I like the points going down. Somehow, it mimics the look of birds taking flight.

For some reason the points going down does not take away from the other panel.
