    I like it because it is NOT like the rest of the log cabins. It is a fresh take on an old pattern.

    Bingo!! I'm thinking this too. People like what they are used to and most don't think outside the box. Iv' done this a time or two and I like this quilt top. It makes you look twice.

    I think the change in the pattern pieces makes it interesting. I like the colors you used as well.
