Have sewed all my life and had so many different machines, but before I retired I bought a Bernina. I love it, the best machine I ever sewed on. Wish I had bought one years ago!!

You really got a good deal. I have a 153QE and wouldn't sell it for any reason. It's a workhorse. ENJOY

I know exactly what you mean. My Horizon 7700, which I like just fine, has been in the shop for more than a month. I've gone back to piecing on my 20+-years-old Bernina 1230, and have fallen in love with it all over again. The only thing I really miss is the thread cutter.

My two machines are not Berninas but they make beautiful stitch and no plastic. They are solid metal.
Glad you like your new to you machine.

Wow, what a deal ! Good for you & the extra bonus is that you have fallen in love with a machine that you had always wondered about. I am also a Bernina owner of the 820 & like you, I always thought "what is the big deal about a Bernina" well, for 3 years now, I know too. LOL
