I did the graph paper route too... I use reams of it!

After your material is collected cut little squares and do a mock up. I would never have gotten through the 156 maple leaves without the mock up.

Thanks for all your good wishes folks!

What a great quilt! This is one I would love to see in person so I could really look at all the different units. You did an amazing job!

WOW, that nautical quilt is a keeper. What a unique idea for doing a Turning Twenty.

Lori, Thanks for the advise! I appreciate getting that kind of advise before I start a quilt. :D

Ever hear the saying, "Always a bridesmaid, never a bride."??? Well, there should be one that says "Always a quilter, never a quilt on MY bed." :) My three kids each have a quilt - alas and alack we do not yet...

I'll join!!! We do have a pattern chosen - now I just have to find the time... We agree on colors, but have no material chosen yet. I have SO many things I want to make - I keep trying to talk my husband in to letting me quit my job so I can sew fulltime - we homeschool so the kids will have to go to school, and I'm sure a maid will be needed... oh well, I do try!! :)
