Nice patch work! Most people looking at the quilt will never notice a thing.

I've wondered how I would fix something like that. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing the pics

Very nice job. We have an old quilt that our dog chewed a hole about 6 inches big all the way through it right in the middle of the quilt. I never did fix that one.

my oldest son was a smoker and also did not know how much work went into a quilt. I had made him a simple quilt made from the bell bottoms he and siblings wore in the 70's. Needless to say he burned holes in it. I took it and said I would fix it when he quit smoking. He did, I did and he proudly keeps it on his bed now. Could only put random patches over the holes, but we call it his Hobo quilt....

Thank goodness the kids usually don't chew a hole in the quilts! I made my first quillow for my niece and gave it to her for Christmas when we were visiting. The first thing she did was stick her feet in the pillow pocket and ripped the stitching. No sewing machine so I had to repair it by hand. After that I always doubled stitched the pillow pocket.

Your repair isn't even noticeable. Lucky dog!
