    I was wondering what the problem was as because the panel in your photo looked like the original panel. Finish the quilt off as it's a done deal and looks great.

    Lovely. I really want to make the Sidelights pattern someday. I am asymmetrical which confuses a lot of people.

    Sometimes you just have to be more creative and not make everything blocked and even. This is great, and I'm sure the teacher will love it.

    Not sure I see your dilemma with the fabric and panel but I do like what you did.
    I LOVE asymmetry. So much more interesting to me, especially in this whimsy pattern!
    I think it will be liked and appreciated.
