I would like an opinion from you. I have a quilt that I made for a baby boy, with its dimensions at a square, of 63"X 63". I am hoping that the colors and patterns of the fabrics are such that it is still appropriate for the little boy, and something that he can still grow into. Any comments? Would appreciate it.

    It's pretty.

I do not think the fabrics look "girly" at all.

It looks very adult to me.

I agree... not "girly" at all!
Definitely a quilt I would be happy to present to a boy

I don't think it looks girly at all. I wouldn't even say it is baby-looking. this is the type of quilt someone would use always.

    Love the quilt!

Use a 'Boy' fabric for the backing. Then he will be happy with the quilt while he is a child and when he grows up. That's what my Mom did with my grandsons quilt.

I made a quilt that my 6 year old grand-nephew claimed because it is his favorite colors - blue and yellow. But the fabrics are very adult. So I followed my Mom's example and pieced together a 'boy' backing for him. He loves it.

I wouldn't call those fabrics girly. Your quilt is beautiful the mother should be really happy to receive it.

Not girly. Beautiful doesn't always have to equal girly, kwim? :D

    I like it.
