(((((((If you figure out how to keep the quilt from catching on the corners--please let me know!!))))))))

This drives me nuts! I have a store-bought extension table with rounded and beveled corners and it still does it! Is there not a way to fix it?

I think that the weight of the quilt is the problem, not the table. I find that when I'm trying to quilt or bind my large quilts that a dining room size table is the only way to go. Even than if it slides off I have a devil of a time until it is all up and on the table. Just my thought. :)

I would like one for piecing, mine is very small.

I love your idea. I think I will have to make one. I'm all for frugal!

Home Depot will cut it for you. Make a template of your machine arm. This is the part that needs to be cut out. I've heard some Home Depot's charge a small fee, but the one here did not.

Diane, That is great. I did the same thing, except I drilled a screw into the legs (mine travels with me). Another suggestion would be to add a measuring tape tape along the edge. I believe that Dirtz sells some, I found mine at Michaels.
    Good Job!!

OMG! What a good idea! Two products in one. And for a fraction of the cost! My hubby doesn't know it yet either but I think he is going to be making one too. Thanks for the great ideas!
