    I slide the end of my ironing board slightly under the sewing table and pile the quilt on top so the board holds ALL the weight.

    I don't have one of those. Never thought I needed one till now. Does that help in some way when sewing?

    I would go to my local True Value Hardware Store and have them cut the plexiglas to whatever size and round the corners. They will also smooth those rounded corners.
