I am leaving Thursday morning to fly to Nashville TN for a wedding. I bought this fabric on Labor day and this evening I finished the hand sewing of the binding. I still have to hand stitch the label on and then I can throw it in the wash before it goes in my suitcase.
The wedding is on Saturday, the 20th on my 48th birthday, and my DH's 50th birthday is monday, so we got a wild hair and decided to fly out and go just because.

Pattern is "Bits and Pieces" I have made tons of these because they are a fat quarter, 1/4 yd yard pattern and it goes together really fast.

    Oops, sideways, sorry!!

I made a boo boo on the quilt label so had to make a small applique to cover it up

Very nice!! And I wouldn't have guessed about any boo-boo if you hadn't said anything...so quit saying that!!! It was just another design opportunity.

Great job all around. Have a fun and safe trip and Happy Birthday!!

I see nothing that sticks out saying it is a boo boo cover up. Looks great. Happy Birthday and have fun.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments and birthday wishes!! On the label I tried to also include the month and year the quilt was made, but had reduced the size of the lettering too small and so by the the time it has stitched Sep it looked like a blur, so I covered it up with a flower.

I have to work today and so won't get home to stitch the label on until after 5, then wash it and pack and all the stuff that has to be done to get out of town. Not to mention write a book on feeding all the dogs, fish, turtle etc for my son's girlfriend who is taking care of them while we are out.
