Nice job! I was wondering how a paisley would look for a OBW and I see that it turns out beautifully!

Oh don't worry Iluv2quilt...you can see mine does not match up perfectly either, but it was fun to make. That's one of the nice things about OBWs. They are so busy that they are forgiving of slight imperfecions. I'm almost finished with my second one now too. I've been trying free-motion quilting sort of and it is a bear! I need much, much more practice.

The reactions we get from visitors who see the quilt is that they think it is a whole piece of cloth and are shocked to discover it is a quilt. The imperfections seem to pass by unnoticed... either that or I have very tactful friends and family!

Thank you everyone for such nice words. It's giving me quite a boost in confidence!

Both beautiful. Could you provide info on the cat fabric that you used? I am collecting cat fabrics to make star block for a quilt for DH. He saw the pictures of this one and loved it.

    Thanks,
    Robyn

Thank you Robyn! :) My college age son has a soft spot for kitties too.
The cat fabric is fabric I "made" from EQ printables with prints of Henrietta Ronner-Knip's art work. What i offered to do for SandyinZ4 I would happily to extend to anyone on this Quilting board.

SandyinZ4: Thanks for the really nice compliment! The people at our vet's office went gaga over that little quilt.

I would be happy to print up the Henrietta Ronner-Knip artwork fabric blocks, for only for what it would cost me to make and ship them to you. And I could tell you how I did the log cabin strips around it too. Then you could make your own version of a Cat-Knip quilt. It only took a few days and I quilted it with stitch in a ditch. I use EQ printables and state of the art, archive quality, washable inks for my fabric blocks. PM me if you have an interest and would like to know more about what the pictures looked like and how big they were, etc.
    :-D

It turned out very lovely. It is always fun to see the end result in a OBW. I too am doing a fall one using an Asian fabric that was a pretty varying blue with flowing leaves. We shall see how it turns out. I chose to do it as an Octagon rather than hexagons. Will post perhaps in late September.
