What an incredible quilt that would be. Are those patterns still available? I would love to try my hand at something like that. I have been going thru books & patterns, I have this urge to do something totally not me but totally extremely advanced. One I really have to work at, to learn, to accomplish. Fall must be on its way. We have a hurricane alert up for MD. and the Chesapeake Bay, that must be what is driving my ambitions.
I did those hearts 10 years ago and I don't remember who did the pattern that is why I am asking if anybody recognizes them. There are 12 in all ...I would love to find the other six.

I live in Florida and the hurricane is messing around and about.

Thank you ladies, I had totally forgotten about these blocks. Just goes to show how busy we get. Thank goodness all the fabric and stuff is in their place so they can't get lost and I am glad I looked in that drawer. I knew I had some block but didn't remember that I had all those.

I played with the blocks last night and this is what I have of the Dear Janes.

So I did some around the big star last night and then got up at 5 am and have done this much.

The star block I got as a free block from Judy Martin and I wanted you to see a close up of the way it was put together. the tiny star fabric are cut like slivers and sewed to the star point. It was something else..

I am totally in love with this star and the fabric just makes it. It looks like a shower of stars are falling all over it, when you look at it from a distance. I think I am going to love this quilt.

I will have more or less the same effect with my Farmer wife blocks. the only thing is I don't have any extra large block but I will make them.

    Dear Jane

Ok last picture. I was up at 5 am this morning. This is not my usual time lol. I was really onto this quilt since all the blocks were just waiting for 5-10 years...time to come out of jail.

So far it's all sashed and it measured 59x71 as it stands now. I think I will add borders or something....don't know yet. I like it to at leat fit a twin.

    lucky find quilt?
