    Thank you for all your wonderful comments. I really appreciate the encouragement it gives me, to keep trying new patterns and turn them in to works of art. I find I'm very impatient when piecing and also I need to concentrate more on what I'm doing. Music is better than TV for that.

    Beautiful.

    I have a quilting hoop like that. How do you do the quilt to keep it from shifting? Do you baste it first, or what. I would love to use mine but don't quite know how to keep all three layers from shifting?

    Yes - I basted and basted and basted. Also, I started from the middle and worked my way out. I had no way of knowing how to do it (but I knew how to hand stitch) and no computer handy to ask a pro, so I did what I thought best. I had to keep tugging at the quilt to keep it tight.
