Some people have all the luck!
I can't seem to find bargains. The old saying, if your looking for a specific item, you won't find it but if your just looking around, you'll find it.

I do pretty good at our Goodwill and I can get a nice hunk of fabric some times for 99 cents. Recently I bought some fabric that is a sewing themed fabric and I found a big real of ready made ruffle. I also got a couple other things. when ever I have to stop in Rite Aid to get a precription refilled I'll go look in the Goddwill until the script is ready and most of the times i find some thing there. The Goodwill is next door to Rite Aid. Only 2 blocks from where I live. Most of the fabric I have in my stash is from the Goodwill. A year or two ago my brother inlaw was in the hospital and there was a nurse who helped take care of him gave me a big box choc full of fabrics and I have made this nurse a nice shopping tote that folds up and looks like a clutch purse when it is folded up. I was hapopy as a lark and I still have a lot of that fabric left over too. Some of it isn't a very good quilt quality fabric, but it can be used for other things. Every one have a great day, Huggies, Fay

I can easily see that Georgia thrift stores are FAR superior to California thrift stores. Sometimes I think that the workers get first pick of things here (or there are not too many CA sewers/quilters who want to relinquish their stash). Now I know where to head on my next vacation. What a haul.
