Default Why didn't I think of this sooner!?!

I use to have a water bed. When hubby & I bought our new bedroom set, the bed got stored in our UNFINISHED breeze way for like 5 yrs. Hubby is actually suppose to be going to finish this 'breeze way' over the winter and wantes me to start clear'n all the crap out of it... Look what I made out of the base of my old water bed! I LOVE IT! A fantastic ironing station WITH storage! I knew all that 50% off the clearance price home deco fabric I bought 2yrs ago was a good idea! I used a coordinating fabric to make a curtain for the stairwell closet (now all I need is shelves in there... work'n on it). It's so kewl to be converting the hallway in to an extension of it my sewing space! *giggles* I'm soooooooo excited about this! Now I need to figure out what to do w/the wall space... peg boards... shelf? What ever I do, I know it will be great!

One of these days my entire home will be nothing but sewing space lolololol

That is great! Is it two base pieces of the water bed frame stacked? Wonderful idea and it looks beautiful!

What a wonderful idea. It looks great! Makes me wish I had a waterbed to make one for myself!!!! Awesome way to re-purpose! You are quite clever!

Or the base was cut in half and stacked?

That is an ingenious and totally useful repurposing of the waterbed base.
I can't believe all that storage space you now have.

I can certainly relate to this.
I think I'm pretty much at over 60% converted to sewing space and necessary storage required space.

Love it! All that storage is so great. I have my ironing board (homemade, 28" X 52") set on top of a 2' X 4" folding table with a plastic shelving unit set up in 2 halves under it. I do have some boxes on the shelves, but your set-up is way better!

Well aren't you clever! Now everyone will want one and it will be mighty hard to find an old wooden waterbed base.
