I have the computerized machines also, Borther Project runway and others, but they do not seem to have the personality that the 'old' machiines have. A lot of us grew up with the machines we love to find and it takes us back a bit. And they are work horses, the ladies that have them can do most of the maintance themselves, thus saving that little bit. Using a treadle..it's just a fun machine to use. And so good for trim ankles..no, really!! I think it is a good idea that not all the ladies here want the older machines, because then there would not be any for us that want them. As with the different quilting patterns and ways to quilt..something for everyone.

Thank you for your explanation. I guess to each his own. I am a modern gal and don't want to regress. So congratulations to those of you who have obtained these machines. FYI I do have a featherweight that I have used once.
